The plant located on a site of 90,000 pyongs within Changwon Industrial Complex, Kyungsangnam-do, boasts production lines that can produce 300,000 units of motorcycles per year. A talented research staff is busy designing new products to meet the ever-changing needs of our domestic and international customers. Daelim is recognized as the leader of the domestic motorcycle industry and we understand the vital role that technological development plays in helping us to advance to the level of world-class motorcycle manufacturers.

The domestic demand for motorcycles has dropped from pre-IMF crisis days to a point now where only 50% of the previous production levels of 300,000 are being assembled.
But, to overcome this difficult situation, we have tried to be a best motorcycle manufacturer in the world by making every effort to export to the overseas market.

We were not content to rest on our laurels. We keep upon developing overseas markets and securing our place in those markets.
For the year 2000, we have established an export goal of 100 million US dollars and pledge to fulfill this lofty goal by introducing motorcycles with world-class quality and performance.

As part of a plan to diversify our business, we took over Sunglim Machinery Co., Ltd. on March. 31, 2000. This acquisition makes it possible for us to become a major player in the high-value-added parts industry.
Sunglim Machinery Co., Ltd. specializes in the manufacture of parts for a wide range of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. Sunglim’s facilities produce such core components as carburetors, shock absorbers, chains and braking systems, in addition to parts used on specialized industrial and agricultural machines.

Following the takeover of Sunglim Machinery Co., Ltd., we are now able to expand our parts supply business from the domestic motorcycle industry to the international automobile parts market. We look forward to supplying customers with parts that meet or exceed existing international environmental regulations for emissions and noise.
